Chicago and Madison World Music Festivals

Baladino performed at the Constellation on September 19 as part of the Chicago World Music Festival. The ensemble was very well-received, with approximately 100 people in attendance at this cozy venue.

Distinguished attendees included the Consul General of Israel to the Midwest, Roey Gilad; Arts Midwest Board Member Sylvia Kaufman and her husband Dick Kaufman; and Carlos Tortolero of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.

From there, the group traveled to Madison, WI to perform at the University of Wisconsin Union Terrace as part of the Madison World Music Festival, hosted by the Wisconsin Union Theater on September 20. There was much dancing and joy to be had while Baladino held the stage.
