Baladino greets community members across Wilmington, OH

By Ken Carlson

The first week of Baladino’s latest tour was packed with connections all across Wilmington, Ohio, and neighboring communities. The ensemble enjoyed connecting with so many different segments of the community.

The Murphy Theatre and community members in Wilmington, Ohio, welcomed Baladino to town with a lovely reception at the Methodist Church. This was the first event of Baladino’s current four-week Midwest tour. Attendees responded enthusiastically to the music Baladino shared, and the music provided a good foundation for conversation and the meal that followed.

Baladino’s week included stops at Denver Place and East End Elementary schools, workshops at the local library and senior center, a visit to schools in nearby Dayton, connections with home school families, and a stop at Southern State University. Whew! It’s been a good week – thanks to Maretta Alden and the Murphy Theatre for hosting Baladino!
