Anda Union greets audiences around Adrian, MI

By Ken Carlson

The Croswell Opera House in Adrian, MI, is going through some significant renovations right now, but that didn’t prevent the Croswell and the region from giving Anda Union a wonderful welcome and week in the community area.

In addition to work in Adrian, Anda Union visited the neighboring communities of Tecumseh, Brooklyn, and Morenci.

A wonderful group of students and staff assembled at Adrian College to attend Anda’s workshop there.

Students at Tecumseh Schools were eager to participate with Anda, and some lucky volunteers were invited on stage to learn a traditional Inner Mongolian dance as taught by Sai Hanniya.

The Morenci Library was filled to capacity for Anda’s late afternoon workshop there. Here “Cowboy” Biligebateer shares a long song and dance—he’s always a crowd favorite.

The concert at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts was well-attended by people of all ages. After the concert, Qiqigema enjoyed meeting one of the youngest attendees. Anda Union is generous with its time and energy and really enjoys meeting community members as the tour winds through the Midwest.

Thanks to Jere and Erik and the whole team at the Croswell Opera House for a most enjoyable week!
